Top Pot Doughnuts - Bellevue

The donuts here are excellent and the inventory is well-managed. They are great at handling preorders. However, the coffee tastes extremely weak, almost like water. Additionally, there seems to be an element missing in the ambiance that keeps people from lingering. For instance, a busy Starbucks has the right combination of music and lighting to create a welcoming atmosphere. Another oddity is that their napkins feel almost like toilet paper—why would a donut shop skimp on something so basic? It's a puzzling decision. On a positive note, their opening and closing times are convenient, and the staff is generally well-prepared.

The maple donuts here are the best, and they’ve recently lowered their prices, making it an even better deal. Just keep in mind that they have shorter hours, so if you want to enjoy their donuts—especially those delicious maple ones—make sure to arrive early!

I enjoyed a delicious chai latte. The young lady at the counter this morning was incredibly helpful and polite. The maple-glazed old fashioned was delightful—it's tasty and light, leaving you without that heavy, guilty feeling.

The donuts here are outstanding—truly nothing to critique about them. However, the coffee is a different story. It's more like watered-down coffee; the ratio of coffee to water seems off. The Americano was just as disappointing. I recommend bringing your own coffee instead. The overall atmosphere is pleasant, though.

There's been a noticeable decline at Top Pot. The donuts are now 30-50% smaller, particularly in the cake section near the Mini Donuts. Top Pot has always been average, but I used to go there because it was my only option downtown. However, the reduced size of the donuts pushed me to drive 10 minutes for a better quality donut.
