I love every roll we ordered and each roll was fresh, tasty with great quality of ingredients. Be prepared to wait during rush hour but was well worth it! Thanks NW for yet another great sushi experience! Wonder why only 4 stars(? because I would have liked a real dining sushi experience vice to go boxes. Yep, they come in styrofoam or paper boxes! For sushi, I usually like to eat it right away fresh from the chef's hand to mine but this is the best to go sushi I had ever eaten and they were delicious! If in a better setting they could easily charge double and it would be okay. But most important was that the quality of the rolls was top notch even despite the lack of ambience or necessary ceremony as an ode to the Samurai! Coming back for sure next time i'm in town!
The food took a little white, but it was good. They now share the same location with Yeti Bento.
Great place for affordable yet tasty sushi rolls! It's a little hard to find since it's in a storefront with the name Yeti Bento (not Musashi Cafe) written on the sign, which is confusing, but pretty worth it for cheap, yummy sushi. I don't know if they're related at all to the other sushi chain Musashi's, but compared to them, Musashi Cafe offers more Americanized sushi rolls, which is to say that they have rolls with way more different toppings and add-ons rather than solely focusing on the fish. They definitely hit the spot when you're craving some more exciting flavors together, you usually don't even need soy sauce because there are other sauces already on it. The only dish that really wowed me was the salmon nigiri because of how fatty the salmon was, but the other rolls were decent too. Besides sushi, they also offer a variety of Korean food, which I have yet to try. My only complaint is that the rolls we got were not rolled very tight, so when we picked them up with our chopsticks they kinda just fell apart on the plate. This is pretty important when eating sushi imo so you're not shoveling loose rice into your mouth like we did. I will say the kitchen seemed pretty hectic like they were either short-staffed or just had a lot of orders come in at once, so our order wasn't taken immediately, which seems to be the norm here (been here twice before), but it's not a big deal, I'd still come here again.
WARNING. Take a good look at your order Firstly, me and and my other half comes to this small business often. And We drive about 40 miles to eat here and that comes to show how much we love their food. Now to the ugly. And the ugly revolves around customer care. This was our first time actually dining in as we usually take out and eat at the Bellevue park across of the shopping mall. My other half is currently pregnant and she ordered the Shrimp tempura which has crab Mayo in the roll. And this isn 't our first time ordering this roll. We got our roll and sat the the large table that located on the right side of the store. If you see the picture I posted, the shrimp tempura roll is on the far right side. It in the afternoon and we were hungry. Half way through eating, my other half noticed that it tasted different and only noticed that the crab Mayo was substituted by spicy tuna. I personally went to the front and asked the cashier to confirm if it 's truly spicy tuna. The cashier confirmed that it was made with spicy tuna because they ran out of crab Mayo and she ended that conversation with it 's just spicy tuna . In disbelief, I just walked back to the table to inform my other half that it 's spicy tuna and she was upset in disbelief and stopped eating. We didn 't make any commotion. I had a guest with me and we finished early to just leave. I walked up to the cashier to nicely inform her and the staff that it would have been nice to know if they made any substitutes to our order in the first place. There was other guest inside and I didn 't want to make a scene, it was a simple friendly customer suggestion. And the cashier responded with just sorry . As I normally do, I clean up after my family and make it easier for the employees to clean up. While doing this, the cashier talked to the other employees and I heard and saw one of the employees say then they shouldn 't have ate here ...And I walked out. Fast forward to the end of the day. My other half left a review below and this is where I got upset. The owner replied back to her review and comically played the lying game. She mentioned that it was an online order and emailed us about the substitute...no we dined in. She mentioned that she offered a refund and an extra dish...she did not offer anything. She mentioned that we was okay with eating the given dish...we did not say that. And here 's the funny part, I saw the owners picture on her Yelp response and she was the very one who made that comment about not having to eat there in the first place. Wow!! Here 's my overall issue. If you ran out of something, please inform your customer about any substitutions because of food allergy. A simple task. As a business owner, own up to the mistake. Don 't make excuses because you 're digging yourself a bigger hole. Just Don 't lie period. I wasn 't going to make it a big deal out of it but the fact that the owner 's response had no ownership to the situation and clearly stated lies...Oh my...how comical and how unprofessional can you be.
RESPONDING TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: I did not order online, I was there in person and did dine in. No one said anything about switching it out I DID NOT say I 'd be okay with eating the raw fish. I didn 't order more cooked rolls They did NOT offer me a refund and only made the rude comment about how I shouldn 't be eating there Honestly I 'd give this place more stars but their customer service SUCKS SO BAD! They used to be great but it 's going downhill. So I 'm pregnant and ordered a shrimp tempura because I know there isn 't any raw fish in there. When we received our order they substitute the crab meat with tuna because they ran out. They didn 't even have the courtesy to even tell us they 're switching it out. We told them how it would 've been nice for them to let us know beforehand one of the workers responded with 'well she shouldn 't be eat here if she 's pregnant ' like really?! First off, it don 't matter if I 'm pregnant or not, you ALWAYS tell your customer if you 're switching something out Incase they 're allergic. Not even a simple sorry. Welp, guess they won 't be receiving our service anymore pregnant or not.
