Przekaż informację zwrotnąJaponessa is a good date night spot when you're in the mood for rolls. Their nigiri isn't the best as they mainly focus on the rolls. I would say they are decent quality but they are little overpriced as its essentially $20 average for rolls. The ambiance is good for a date night spot and the service is usually pretty good here. I would recommend coming here during happy hour for the best value!
We are out of towners revisited this establishment with our local family on May 6. We came here pre pandemic, but, wow, what a disappointment this time around. The chicken karaage, agedashi tofu, spider roll, and Seattle crunch were subpar at best. The sashimi dish were ok. Basically, all the dishes that required batter tasted worst than KFC batter. While we were waiting for our bill and the busser was clearing our table, we asked if he refill our water and refill a cup of hot water. He looked annoyed and bothered, mumble something, no eye contact or acknowledgement, just walked away. We saw him walked passed the water station towards the back, and when he came walking back he was chewing on something, grabbed the water jar and come back to our table to refill the water but no hot water. With a 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill, one would expect a little more attentiveness and just plain common courtesy toward patrons. My issue is only with the busser and no one else. Aside from the subpar dishes, all other staff members were great. Wishing this location best of luck with the subpar foods in this saturated, competitive market and food savvy foodies.
Japonessa is one of our go-to restaurants in Seattle with a huge variety of classic and creative rolls and great happy hour specials that run for most of the day. This is a bit of a Japanese/Latin fusion restaurant, which leads to fun, bright flavors. The Bellevue location is large with two main dining areas, a bar, sushi counter and outdoor patio. I'd still recommend reservations since it's in Lincoln Square: right next to the mall and several hotels. If you don't, I'm sure you wouldn't have to wait long though.I find their cocktails lean towards the sweeter side, but they do have a great selection of sake, which my fiance really enjoys. He always gets the Super Bad Boy Roll and I flip flop between Barcelona Sunset or the Ultimate Dragon rolls. Everything you'd get will be super fresh!I'd never turn down an invitation to eat here and would highly recommend it if you're in Seattle or Bellevue!
This is the best sushi I have eaten on the east side. The fish is so good. There’s only one other restaurant and it’s a family owned sushi place that is just as comparable but man this restaurant is amazing and to be this classy, and the staff so nice and involved, I can’t help but want to come back. I tried it last week in the day time and went last night for happy hour. Both times amazing service and great food. Prices are reasonable for the area and happy hour is really good. Highly recommend. Thank you!
I had the omakase sushi and it was awesome! I love every single piece of sushi that was served. There was just the perfect combination of sauce and toppings. I was very full with the $40 omakase. I am going to get it again next time
