Thankfully, we managed to place our order without it, but now I have to uninstall an app that I didn’t want in the first place. Once the order was placed, the food started to arrive, but unfortunately, the waiter forgot about our drinks. At the end of our meal, we were questioned about why we tipped only 15% when the norm is 18-20%. I found this completely unacceptable. Tipping should be a reflection of service, and it's rude to ask customers why they choose not to tip higher.
The restaurant has a lovely and bustling atmosphere. We chose to visit here while exploring Bellevue. The host service was quite slow; the staff member was friendly but took their time. The mussels were outstanding—I noticed that many diners around me were ordering them, which encouraged us to give them a try. They turned out to be the best mussels I've ever had. As for the steak, it was decent but not exceptional; I ordered it medium rare, and it didn't quite match my expectations.
The flavors and drinks here are absolutely incredible! Andy and Addy, the bartender, were so kind and polite—truly the friendliest bartender I've ever met! It was both fun and entertaining to watch him craft the drinks. I was there to celebrate a signed contract with some vendors during happy hour. I ordered the coconut blossom and it was a fantastic choice! Addy took the time to explain the ingredients in the drink and answered all my questions about the menu. Afterward, I moved to the table area to meet my vendors, and we ordered some tapas.
This tapas restaurant is situated in the Bellevue Mall, but the only access is from Bellevue Way. The interior is bustling with tables and features large windows that bring in ample natural light (or fresh air when opened). The menu offers a blend of American-friendly tapas, charcuterie, empanadas, and paellas. Some dishes lean towards fusion or take a non-traditional approach. While prices can accumulate quickly, many of the portions are substantial and the flavors are impressive.
I had high hopes for this restaurant because I love tapas, but after dining here, I was quite disappointed. The service felt inattentive; it seemed like the staff wasn't really focused on us. The salad was over-dressed and too salty. The lamb-stuffed peppers and the pork were excessively salty as well, and my chicken skewer was undercooked, with the meat still pink, so I had to send it back. What a disappointing experience!
