The kumquat pork ribs were cooked through but not tender at all. The Shanghai soup dumplings were nothing special (din tai fung do them better). The lotus leaves sticky rice was too saucy and not warm enough. The taro sugar sticks are very sugary. The beef congee was okay. The beef ho fun noodles were very good. The black gold buns are good and original.
Our server, Loan, was sulky and inattentive. Felt as if we were a great bother to her. Had to request for assistance from other staff members. We felt bad for even asking for ice water from Loan. The food made up for experience.
My dad and I went here for the first time to try their Peking duck! We were not disappointed, it was delicious- cooked to perfection. We liked that the fat was removed and the wraps themselves were thin providing a nice balance with the duck. The prawns appetizer was also unique and yummy! But aside from the food, our server Loryta was so friendly, helpful, and efficient! She provided us with suggestions like trying one of the mocktails instead of juice. I loved the ‘beautiful sunrise’ beverage! She mentioned the dim sum on the weekends and the duck specials on Mondays. Hopefully we will be back very soon. Thank you Loryta!!
The food was really good. We tried the King Crab special and scallops. The desserts were also good but the seafood entrees was the best!
