Golden Bowl Chinese Restaurant

If you are at the hospital for what ever reason you (or someone else) will want to venture across the road to get out and get some outside food.

Close to home and never been disappointed with the quality of food so farThey are not super friendly, but they are not rude either.

A great value Chinese Restaurant run by a guy without a sense of humour. We went for dinner and the man never cracked a smile.

You can be sure you will get a good meal if you go to the Golden Bowl, even if you get Mr Smiley.I have been going there for at least six years and the food is always good, Mr Smiley, who I think owns the place never smiles even if you sat something funny, he's always serious.The seating area never gets full, it's always nearly empty but don't let that fool you, they have a tremendous custom in take away or home delivery, Sometimes you have to wait over an hour because they are so busy.Prices are good and like many other asian restaurants they also do Thai and some Malayan dishes.My favourite is a simple hot and sour soup but the Chilli Prawns and Szechuan Beef are also wonderful.

Quality meals that was thoroughly enjoyed. No yucky oily after taste. Chose to take away but the restaurant looked clean and inviting. Loved the satay chicken.
