Careva Ćuprija - Belgrade

Best restaurant in Belgrade in my opinion, Been several times and nothing beats it. Ask for the daily or weekly special. Exceptional food and service is top notch.

I haven 't been here for a looong time, but they lost nothing of their charm and professionalism. A good friend of mine, Nesa Hilandarac (a guy with a half of century experience in visiting restaurants) would call this an old school . This means that a guest is an always welcomed friend, always noticed, and always served just the way (any) guest expects to be. They do their best to read people, adopt to customers ' mood, and serve great food exactly when it is the right time to start consuming it. Since this is the place where you would soon feel comfortable and relax, and you might easily forget about the food, order another drink, and enjoy the live orchestra performance... And drink choice is just as great as food one including truly domestic house made plum brandy, wine, and etc... The only thing that was not that perfect, was grilled fish: I understand that almost every place sells the same white lie, but I really wish these guys did not. An iron plate DOES give great results (which they did achieve), but I particularly asked about the grill charcoal which surely is a different thing... If any of you has doubts about the difference wait until you find a place where a good cook has access to real grill and you will reach the next level! P.S. Make sure to taste sweets: they have many kinds, from traditional to modern ones, some really light and great match to heavy, greasy meals that you might have before them.

An amazing place to be in Belgrad. If i have to cut a long story short i would say that : A professional typical dinner turned to a family one! . Reasons: The warm atmosphere , the live traditional music , the excellent wines and the fresh dishes. Excellent. Try it.
