The Glenowen Inn - Belfast

Had lunch here with my elderly mother. Used to be faultless and we always recommended it. Unfortunately our recent experience was poor. I had chicken goujons and chips from express lunch menu. The skinny chips were undercooked and inedible. Goujons were overcooked and mainly batter. My elderly mother had smoked haddock, her potatoes were cold. Not sure what has changed but it was very disappointing.

Glenowen is a great bar, great staff. My friend was let down last minute for a venue. The manager of the Glenowen stepped in and helped her out big time. Excellent place

The whole place is dated. No lift for upstairs, toilets are old and not great but food and drinks are good. Service is ok

Called in for midweek lunch , food and cocktails were lovely, as were the staff. They had some problems dealing with an aggressive crowd and the poor waitress kindly took one of our rounds off the bill we waited a while for it as she was working alone and they were giving her bother. She handled the heated situation commendably and still managed to make sure the service was brilliant! We had the prawns which were great as well as the pasta and chicken stack. Only giving 3 for atmosphere as it was a Thursday and there it was quite empty, I’m sure weekends is a different story-Thanks again !

Got for Sunday lunch delivery the meat and mash potatoes was nice but the veg was hard couldn't eat it had to be thrown out
