However, I noticed that portions were smaller and the quality was average. I had never dined in the restaurant before, but after reading the reviews below, it explained a lot. The menu looked promising, but it was not as good as it seemed.
At the beginning there is a sign when they enter which states “please wait to take place”, if we had done that we are there for 10 minutes, although there is only 1 person in already. my partner ordered the garlic and chili tofu bites that arrived rock hard to the point they hurt to bite (was definitiw reheated) along the side some barely warm sweet potato friries loaded with a piece of reheated speck and sprinkle of cheese. I ordered the “Hähnchen” baguette and while I made a few changes to what it came, I ordered that it come with more than just tweepers and 10 15 minutes after my partners. also with the “special offer” to reduce the bill by 50%, we still feel that the amount and quality of food and services was very unacceptable. our server said they welcomed the feedback, but they were definitely lying to us about the fresh of the ingredients, even if they were challenged. would definitely not come back unless there is a change in everything about the place unfortunately. the 2 star review is just because I could not choose 1 star since the website would not leave me
I worked at this restaurant for three weeks in April/May 2021. Unfortunately, I cannot give it stars as HappyCow does not allow that. Here are some of the issues I encountered during my time there: - Everything was dirty and dishes were hand washed in cold water because the owner did not want to repair the dishwasher or pay for hot water. The same wipes were used multiple times for days until I had to take them home to wash them. - The manager only paid the legal minimum wage and even fired me when I requested to be paid the legal cost in addition. - Food items like tweezers were stored in a box outside without proper seals. - I was asked to use my personal phone to play music for the restaurant. - On my third day, the police were called because the owner's ex-partner felt threatened, which made me very uncomfortable. - The manager was not vegan and on multiple occasions, bought items that were not suitable for vegans.
The food was frozen and reheated, the service was terrible, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. The owner was nowhere to be found and the waiter didn't know how to process our payment, so we had to wait until the owner returned. We spent over £40 on two main courses and two kombuchas. There was no passion in the food, the coffee lacked love, and there was no attention given to the customers. I do not recommend this restaurant.
I hate saying this because I love to support fully vegan restaurants, but I just had to write this review because it was so awful and I would 100% recommended NOT to go here! The owner is very unprofessional and we were the only ones in the restaurant the whole visit. There was **** everywhere like a pair of shoes on the tables, boxed and clothes etc. the owner sat at the next table on his laptop while we were there and the whole vibe was off. The decor was really strange and felt dirty. That wasn’t the worst of it. We both ordered cauli wings and vegan burger. We were in and out within 30 mins. I felt like I had been to mc Donald’s. The burger was soooo plain and had no taste and I’m sure mc Donald’s do better with there burgers than this. The cauli wings were no better and the chips were like mc Donald chips. Way too much salt to. We tried to explain all of this to the owner but he didn’t want to know. We now know why we were the only ones in there.
