We had an hour to spare before our appointment in Belfast this morning and thought we would go to one of the big hotels for morning tea. Thankfully for us it didn't open the bar until noon so we found ourselves at Cafe Carberry. What a treat. It was beautifully decorated. The service was excellent and very friendly. We got the biggest pot of tea ever, a melt in the mouth scone and a sausage roll all for under 8 pounds. Will definitely be back.
Friday lunch treat in the City of Belfast means getting out and about to new cafes and restaurants that you haven't tried before. Near the City centre and the Victoria Square Shopping Centre is Cafe Carberry where me and a friend decided to get a good quality lunch for Friday. We both went for chicken wraps toasted with all the trimmings and a side of chips and tea and mocha to drink. The food was of good quality and the wraps were bountiful in size, the service was pretty quick and there is nothing better than a good hot drink on a cold windy day in February. Otherall its a nice little place and the location is good as it sits almost inbetween the City Centre and Lanyon Central Station which makes ideally located in the areas of St Georges Market and the Victoria Square Shopping Centre, so its almost impossible to miss if you travel by train to the city centre.
We paid around £12 for two small breakfasts and drinks each, but the food was cold and the portions were small. We won't be returning.
First time I have used Cafe Carberry and would definitely use them again. Was having a family gathering and didn’t have time to cook. Food was delicious, portion sizes very generous. Reasonably priced given quality of food. Would recommend them.
