The service was friendly and quick. It's a bit pricey, but that's to be expected in an airport.
The prices are surprisingly reasonable for an airport establishment, and it’s quite a nice bar overall.
Eventually, we got through the check-in process, and security was quite efficient and polite. We also visited the airport lounge, which was just average—not great. I appreciate good coffee, but unfortunately, this lounge offered only a button-operated machine that dispensed terrible coffee. The beverages available mostly included flat Coca Cola and sparkling mineral water that was not actually sparkling, served from 2-liter bottles in a small fridge for self-service—not as appealing as getting a can. Everything seemed to be managed on a budget, unless you’re drinking alcohol, which isn’t my preference. The food options were mediocre at best and quite unappetizing, so it's best to skip it. If you aren't interested in alcohol, I'd recommend heading to Starbucks, where at least the coffee might be decent and the place somewhat cleaner. The return trip to Belfast via Heathrow was a relief, as we landed despite being several hours late, quickly retrieved our luggage, and exited the notably chilly airport as swiftly as possible.
**Verse 1:** I’ve traveled far and wide, witnessing countless sights, Yet one spot lingers vividly in my mind. George Best City Airport, where aspirations take flight, And the memories created there, will forever bind. **Chorus:** In the corridors of that airport, where joy and sorrow intertwine, I've witnessed both hope and heartache, and felt the soothing relief that feels divine. George Best City Airport, where my spirit soared high, It was here, amidst the beauty of life, that I sang my lullaby. **Verse 2:** The coffee shops within, with their enticing aromas so dear, Nero and Starbucks stand close, creating a harmonious cheer. A metaphor for unity in a world often divided, Like the rift between North and South, they remain intertwined. **Outro:** And so I find my way back to this cherished space, George Best City Airport, where dreams embrace. I’ll sing a poignant tune, recalling all I’ve seen, Forever grateful for the memories that have been.
