Le Vieux Pont - Belcastel

Les Vieux Pont is on the edge of the river. We only stayed one night to break up our journey to Avignon. The accommodation was lovely. Bed was comfortable and the whole unit was very clean. There is a small refrigerator in the room. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room but, there is a small cafe/bar next to the hotel. Dinner in the Michelin star restaurant was beautiful, if somewhat expensive, but a wonderful one off experience. You could sit down near the river on a sun lounge to read, or just relax if you wanted. Would recommend this property.”

Most attentive service. All very discreet in the background. Not pushy in any form. Food was beautifully presented, tasted incredible. Presentation superb. Wines were very good not madly expensive. One of the best meals in SW France ever had.

Very nice table that will delight gastronomes. A renewed card and exquisite desserts. A trip to Belcastel for such a meal is essential to all those who love French gastronomy.

Tres disappointed this last time because much too expensive (220 € for 2 with1 glass of wine per dish) seen the few foods served in the plate and the menu offered: 1 onion broth with some cabbage leaves and the deer served with 3 gnocchis and qelques brins of vegetables. But dessert is very good. Of course there are more mignardises at the beginning of the meal and although I am not a great eater I found that it was quite limiting to the quantity level. Good-bye THE VOICE A lot better elsewhere! But the village is a wonder.
