Windy Point Restaurant - BELAIR

Treated family. Didn't disappoint. Lovely views. Excellent attentive service. Delightful young lady serving us. All meals wonderful, although we did find the rhubarb soup a puzzle for pudding. (Very liquid but good taste ) look forward to next visit.

I didn't expect it to be so fancy. Food was absolutely divine though. Great for a special occasion, as it's quite expensive

We have been here several times for special occasions and have always enjoyed the experience. However, I have to agree that on our last visit all was not perfect.I, too, was surprised that the sorbet is no longer included and disappointed at the limited dessert selection e.g. If your partner doesn't like chocolate you have to miss out too. On leaving I felt uncomfortable being asked (in front of other customers) if I'd like to like to include a tip for our waitress. Nevertheless we still love this place for its comfortable ambience, faultless service and beautiful views. Food was delicious although my serve of snapper was half the size of my husband's kangaroo.

After thinking we were in for a great dinner - the views are outstanding, and the restaurant was humming - the meal was disappointing.Bread to start was excellent. But downhill from there.Snapper was overcooked - almost dry. Veges very undercooked. I don't mind crisp, but the greens were so underdone they were tough.Dessert - apple in filo pastry - again the pastry so overcooked it almost broke your teeth trying to get to the apple.All simple things that a good restaurant should never had an issue with.

Have been going to Windy Point for many years and have come back from overseas to dine yet again. Not sure really but the refinements have deminished somewhat. Chef specials on a separate piece of paper without explanation of what they were. Another piece of paper showing cheeses etc placed on the table again without explanation. The meals themselves were up to usual standard until there was an unpleasant find in the lamb dish. No reparations during or upon final payment after mentioning the issue yet again. All we were asked, "apart from that, was everything else alright?" Stunned at this response. We had international guests dining with us and they too showed concern at the lack of response from the issue. However, staff were friendly though used a rushed politeness, again unusual for WP. Menu selection normal but did notice a reduced selection in desserts. Prices are still on par and ambience with views perfect. For the first time in 20 years we are considering further visits. Let's hope this was a one of.
