Olio Pizzeria - Beirut

Very nice place, with friendly helpful staff and delicious food. I tried both Italian (pizza pasta) and sushi, and they were great. The restaurant interior is beautiful and cozy. I'd like to go back, and I recommend it.

A combination of pizzeria and sushi bar in the middle of Beirut? How good can it be? I didn't care how I was hungry. I wanted to order sushi. I ordered a Scoamorza e Parma Pizza. That was a lucky move. I was all over the world and had a lot of pizza over the years. I can confidently say that this was just one of the best pizzas I had everywhere (including several places in Italy)! All ingredients are fresh, the crust is beautiful and thin. Homemade dough and sauce with exactly the right amount of tomato food – neither superfluous nor flavored. The prosciutto may have been a bit thicker than I used to, and therefore a tad on the salty side, but the flavors all worked together really well.

I like the sushi here, I've had better, but it's among the good places I've tasted. Though I don't understand the concept of mixing Italian food and sushi... Can't see how these two are related!
