Taiping Old Farm - Beijing

I went with a Chinese friend, who is a regular customer. Great selection of organic teas, vegan creams, food ingredients and clothes etc. The owner, a lady who has been vegan since 1991, even invited us for a small homemade dinner, which was fabulous. Note that they are not a restaurant, but the food was made with ingredients they sell. Chinese name is 太平老農

The owners were happy to chat with me for hours, even with my inadequate mandarin. lu jie brought a dish of sweetness to eat with tee. yuan jie, the other owner gave me her homemade baozi, as I said, I love Chinese rolls. she even went out of the load to show me how to get the right bus to my next destination. they mostly sell homemade cosmetics and homemade sweets like mooncakes. To be honest, I was hoping to find more food. there was not much change, but I could have exaggerated in this little load, as these women were too generous and sweet! 4 stars because I couldn't find many important items in the shop. but you should definitely visit if they are around! for the vegan owners.

This shop is not really a food store, although they have some snacks, but more oriented towards cosmetics and clothing. however, when I told the buyer that I was vegan, they gave me vegan sausages, eggs, baozi, cookies and other snacks for free! I was so surprised by her generousness. I was there 3 hours and talked to them about all possible things, with my terrible Chinese and our smartphones. apparently they get through china's strict laws for animal testing by using natural ingredients and testing on themselves. such honest, beautiful sweet people. you have to go! I bought her shampoo and facewear, and it seems a good quality happycow app had wrong location, seeking Chinese names

All vegan and dog lovers must visit this shop! the owner is honestly the sweetest person I met here in peking and she has a lovely dog called sunny that helps her to run the load and welcomes customers at the door. they have snacks, clothing, tees and a skin care line that is named after the owners two dogs, sunny and goody. there are framed photos of both dogs around the shop and the owner was friendly enough to share some wonderful tee and vegan snacks with us as soon as we went in the door. I would recommend this place to everyone!

The owners were very friendly and accommodating, despite my limited Mandarin skills. Lu Jie offered me some candy to enjoy with my tea, while Yuan Jie gave me a taste of her homemade Baozi since I mentioned my love for Chinese rolls. She even stepped outside to help me navigate the bus system to my next destination. Although the restaurant mainly specializes in homemade cosmetics and candies like mooncakes, I was hoping for more food options. However, I may have overlooked the small selection due to the exceptional generosity and kindness of the owners. I would rate it 4 stars due to the limited food offerings, but it is definitely worth a visit, especially for vegan diners.
