A bit more sophisticated than some other restaurants, perhaps a bit more expensive, but not much. Great food and a bit more imaginative than some other vegan restaurants in Beijing. The HappyCow pin can be a bit confusing (it is on the SW corner of DongsiShitiao metro and major road junction.
Hidden in the courtyard of a modern complex, this place could be considered quite beautiful. The staff is professional and attentive. The quality of the food is not the same.
Great food. Vegan meat made out of soya. Nice hot pots. Other good options. Wine and beer available. Nice ambience. Free WiFi. Books to read. Good ambience. Nice decor. Restaurant situated in central easy to locate area. Food is slightly costly, but that’s because it is in a downtown area where every square feet of business area is costly. So they are probably balancing the cost. You are free to go see the kitchen and it’s cleanliness. Staff is cooperative. Staff uses translators for English Chinese. Overall good experience. Memorable dinner. Will visit again.
I’ve been to this place twice now in the last 2 weeks and I’ll definitely return there. The restaurant is about 2 minutes from the metro station on the left outside of a large office building. It is beautifully decorated (I especially like the real salads in big vases) and the staff are very friendly (no one speaks a lot of English but they translate with their phones. This can lead to hilarious results but they are really very helpful. You order the food with ipads (fotos and english titles), the staff will help you) and it is absolutely delicious and very prettily prepared and presented. The portions aren’t enormous and it’s not cheap but definitely worth it. I can recommend the Black Pepper Mushrooms (cold), the Wuohoming Tofu and the Cucumber Flowers.
Nice setting, great food, wide selection. Relatively expensive. Limited English Menu.
