They seem to be so focused on their fun and quirky atmosphere, they seem to forget WHY people go out to eat, which is for good food. it 's cute that the servers are woke and flaunt it with their work attire , but can I just get some properly cooked eggs? Apparently not here.Again, just go to Tuckers. They 're practically right next door and their food is fantastic! (All locally sourced too)
The Friendly Toast restaurant offers a delightful ambiance with its clean and charming retro vintage decor. The pricing is quite reasonable, averaging around $23 per person. The food arrived promptly, and it was evident that the staff takes pride in their efficient service. The friendly demeanor of the hosts added to the positive experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout the restaurant.
A week after our wedding, we did not want to do anything or go anywhere but we wanted a good breakfast. Got the French Toast Monster breakfast amazingness and it speaks volume when your food is just as delicious being delivered as it is eating at your restaurant. My husband doesn’t even like French toast and this is all we get at Friendly Toast. When we do eat there, the place and decor is very cool and the staff is always very sweet.
Went for the first time today (7/16/2023)Atmosphere is sorta retro. Staff can wear whatever they want, so it’s not easy to tell who actually works there, but I’m sure the staff love it.As for the food? I found it to be very overrated and quite pricy $106 for 3 of us for breakfast incl tip).Server was super friendly and attentive but food was just sub-par and all of it was room temperature. I got eggs over easy that were WAY past “over easy”. Well done bacon that looked well done but was consistency of bubble gum. Potatoes were fine, but like everything else, room temp. Decaf coffee wasn’t decaf either (can tell pretty easily in 20 mins).Won’t be my choice to go again.
We just moved here from Michigan and we 're looking for a good breakfast place to become regulars. Friendly Toast seems to fit the bill perfectly, so we gave it a try. I brought my wife, sister in law, and two boys (3 7). I 'm a social worker, so I loved the message of diversity, inclusion, and acceptance that this place clearly aims to demonstrate. However, when my 3 year old was crying (probably 4 minutes at most then he stopped for good) the waiter told us that we are sitting in the non screaming section and recommended we sit outside if he couldn 't stop. I shrugged it off because I thought he was joking, but my wife and her sister didn 't think so. This made us feel uncomfortable, unwelcome, and took away from the incredible quality of the food. For a place that is thematically going for diversity, inclusion and acceptance, maybe try remembering that not all parents believe in plopping a screen in front of their kids to make them be quiet.
