Wyboston Waterfron Brasserie - Bedford

We dined at this restaurant with a group of eight people for a birthday meal on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was fairly empty, with only two other tables ordering food. It took twenty minutes for our drinks order to be taken, and another twenty minutes for the drinks to be delivered after we inquired about them. Despite ordering our food shortly after receiving our drinks, we had to ask three times about our meals, with the third time being directed to a manager, an hour and a half after we arrived. When the food finally arrived, most of it was cold except for one dish and the potatoes. One member of our group did not receive her sandwich because it had not been made yet, even though she had ordered it. The food we did receive was average, which was not surprising given the limited menu. We ended up spending nearly three hours at the restaurant and only had one course. Although we were offered a discount and an extra round of drinks, we were still charged for drinks we never received. Unfortunately, this was not our first negative experience at this restaurant as a group, as we had a similar experience years ago. This venue may be suitable for a casual meal or a drink on a nice day by the water, but I would not recommend it for special events or group reservations.

We had an amazing night at the restaurant and the waitress was excellent (even gave us free shots)! Thank you Dani for a great night, we'll definitely be back next year. Well done to all the staff, the gin bar was the highlight.

I would not recommend booking your Christmas meal at this restaurant. My experience last night was disappointing, with the atmosphere feeling like a crowded school cafeteria. The staff were continuously moving around and there were 250 people seated in rows, making it far from the relaxing dining experience I had expected for the price of £50. The starter consisted of dried, chopped meat squashed together in a tube shape with a green slimy topping, alongside overfried bits of bread that were too tough to bite. The turkey roast stuffing was solid and powdery, while the roast potatoes were undercooked in the middle. The chocolate tart for dessert was difficult to cut and the dance floor was too small, with unflattering lighting. Overall, I would not recommend dining here and wish I could get my money back to go somewhere else. It was a disappointing experience after looking forward to it for so long.

Had lunch with good friend here for the first time. The Resturant is on the golf complex. The views over looking the lakes and golf course are amazing from the dining table. The service was impeccable and the food and menu very good. I had the fish and chips which was delicious and my wife had humus and falafel which liked very much. It’s a elegant setting with a good menu and wine and worth a visit if in the area and definitely worth a shout after a round of golf ..

Amazing restaurant with high service standard. Steak was excellent as requested, portion size very good.
