The Sun Inn - Bedford

Despite the short staff we were well looked after and served the most fabulous food. the tempura mushrooms were plentiful, but definately made me wish I had ordered more because they were so beautiful. the chicken and the filling was cooked nicely and my son and I shared a part of the chicken salted chips. we are not blessed with small appetites, but a part of the chips was plentiful for both of us. we ended with a medley of ice creams, my man, sohn and I had together with our friend the brownie sunflower, the chocolate sorbet, the cowardly and mascapone eis and the salted mandeleis. all the aromen were there and it was wonderful. all in all, eating was hot, delicious, wonderfully cooked. the service was quick and done with a smile, and everyone was happy, comfortable full and satisfied. highly recommended

Booked a table for a large group 12+ the food was absolutely fantastic! Very good price and perfectly cooked meat. We had Pork, Beef and Goat with roasties and fresh greens. The staff were kind, polite and indulged our interesting questions about the glug jugs. Will definitely be back again. Thank you very much!

We visit quite regularly, usually sitting in the bar, but both the bar and restaurant are really nice. The menu changes regularly.

A lockdown favourite of ours is Kebab night from The Sun. Generous helpings and delicious food. Offering a great service to the community in these challenging times. A benchmark for other pubs/restaurants to follow, going above and beyond to not only serve the community but seemingly thrive as well. Well done all involved at The Sun.

Very affordable food and drinks, waiting staff most friendly and service fast and efficient. Currently finding the car parking a problem..having renovation outside the building.
