Spicy Flame - Bedford

The food at this restaurant is mediocre. The service is good and the staff are friendly, but unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. I do not plan on returning.

Hello, I would like to start by saying that your restaurant serves the best Sri Lankan food in the city. However, I am disappointed by the service provided by your staff. I called your restaurant around 7:30 p.m. and ordered 3 rice and curry portions, with hog plum (amberella) curry for two of them. I confirmed that I would pick up my order before closing time at 9:30 p.m. When I arrived at 9:40 p.m., I found that there were only 2 packs ready. After a 10-minute wait, a staff member informed me that they had run out of amberella curry and had substituted it in one pack without consulting me. I expressed my displeasure, as I had specifically requested this curry when I phoned in my order. Additionally, I have experienced previous issues with your staff, such as a situation where we forgot to pay for our order and had to return to settle the bill. I believe that customers deserve to receive the items they order and pay for, as it is not fair to receive substitutions without consultation. It is important for your staff to be more responsible and attentive to customer requests. While I want to see your business succeed, I am hesitant to return or recommend your restaurant if these issues persist.

I had recently placed an order and though I would try the chicken rezala with rice for a takeaway. It was great it was a medium hot dish. Also, the chocolate toothpaste was a great little dessert.

The Plus the food arrived very quickly The Negative I ordered two Chicken based curries with my meal that were not cooked properly. I contacted them and they were very nice but instead of sending a replacement meal as I had waited half an hour for the replacement they bizarre decided to only send out 1 curry a completely different rice and a chocolate cake as a sorry. Whilst it was a nice gesture all I really wanted was a hot and cooked meal that I had paid for not half a cold uncooked meal and a half a hot meal. It is at this point that the restaurant show their true colours and become very aggressive. For obvious reasons I will never ben eating here again.

After reading the other 2 reviews I had high hopes. Unfortunately this is possibly the worst takeaway meal I have had in some time. Food was cold and when I called was upset with the rude response. I'll not be ordering from here again.
