Riobello Restaurant - Bedford

Eat excellent, service slow and disorganized that was a candy. would recommend eating, but not service.

The problem of the broken pizza oven should have been mentioned when we went through the door. it was not mentioned when we ordered drinks. it was not even mentioned when we were presented with the menu. very disappointing especially since it was pizza we wanted! with drinks on the table we felt that it was too late to go back.

This use to an old favorite restaurant of us many years ago before it changed the hands. we saw the alex polizzi TV program, but since then did not have the opportunity to visit. we have booked online. when we arrived, I tried to explain that we had reserved online, but the waitress did not seem disturbed, nor did she check. she wanted to tell us that the pizza oven didn't work so there were no pizzas or garlic bread etc. it was good to say before we came to our table and we appreciate it. the food was excellent and the chef came out a few times to check that everyone enjoys his meals, which was a very nice note. the waitresses were very pleasant, but seemed to have confidence in what they did. there were some confusion about our weeping mission, which was our fault. we were not offered when we arrived, and it was only after they came for our food order that we could ask for drinks. there was a pretty wait for our appetizers (tomatenbruschetta and mushroom bruschetta) and then the main dishes (tomatenwurst al forno and lasagne), but if that is what it takes to prepare the excellent food we enjoyed, then it is worth it. we also think that we are too familiar with restaurants that almost food of not particularly good quality. overall a very good experience and we will return. Perhaps the waitress could do with a little, but more workout to improve her confidence.

That was a flowering little restaurant, always fuller and more alive. good service and eating. it has changed the hands since I last went and unfortunately the word has spread and this little jewel has died. only other guests on Saturday night at 16 o'clock. no other guests came through the evening. our party came to a pm booking and we had a long wait for drinks, then a delay in ordering. of us had quite uncomplicated ancestors who also needed age groups. I was asked by the waitress if I wanted to see the dessert menu when she cleared the appetizers and I pointed out that we like our net first. Finally, our main in our party meaning came to eat nothing for eds from the arrival. the food was well and beautifully presented, but was an unacceptable long time in coming. to the happiness our party had much to talk, but we were never informed about any delays. at the end of the evening I mentioned our disregard for the manager who said they were short-occupied. if they run a restaurant, they are there to provide a service for their paying customers, this was a bad excuse. unfortunately we will not come back for riobellos or recommend them to our friends.

Riobello is in a good location just south of the town centre just across the main river bridge in St. Mary’s Street. We booked this restaurant online through OpenTable and on arrival we were welcomed and shown to our table. The staff are friendly and efficient and there is plenty of choice from the menu to suit meat and fish eaters, vegetarians and those who need gluten free food. Both the presentation and quality of the food is very good and delivered in a timely manner, our appetisers arriving just minutes after placing our order and pasta-based mains minutes later. Food prices were comparable to those we experience elsewhere although we thought the wine was a shade more expensive. When we arrived at pm it was quite early and only a few tables occupied. However, there was pleasant, non-invasive background music and by the time we left around it was much fuller and had a good buzz. If I’m ever in Bedford again, I’d certainly return to this restaurant and recommend it.
