Indian Summer Takeaway - Bedford

I started with the bhaji, which was crispy on the outside and hot, soft, and flavorful on the inside—definitely not oily or greasy at all. I also ordered the lamb rogan josh, and it was the best I’ve ever had! The flavors were incredible, and I savored every bite. The mushroom rice and keema naan were both cooked to perfection as well. I found the prices to be very reasonable, especially considering the amazing quality of the food. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn’t as busy as it used to be, likely due to the ongoing effects of the pandemic. You know what I mean. I really hope people return soon because I would hate to see this Indian restaurant go away. If it did, Bedford would lose its best Indian eatery, and that would be a very sad day indeed.

This is an excellent restaurant with delicious food, a lovely atmosphere, and very friendly and helpful service. I highly recommend it to everyone, as there’s something for everyone to enjoy. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Based on our first experience, we decided to order again today, this time trying the nawabi for a change. Once again, it was wonderful! The nawabi had a delightful taste, like a love child between a korma and a pasanda. We also ordered two peshwari naan, which were a bit overdue, but that was hardly an issue and certainly didn't detract from the overall fabulous quality of the meal. We both highly recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely plan a visit to dine in when we can.

I was in many Indian restaurants in bedford about the years, but none of them has consistently good food as Indian summer. I only order a jalfrezi and rice when I visit, which is always full of taste, well presented and generously served. really not to blame. regarding the service, the staff are very friendly, professional and the restaurant is kept in great condition. it always looks modern and clean. the Indian summer is ideal for couples who are lonely or even larger groups of people. I think it's the best curry house in bedford. highly recommended!
