Michael Unwin Wines - Beaufort

We visited Michael Unwin Wines through our Hops n Grapes Winery Tour. Michael’s winery exceeded our expectations and was the stand out of the day thanks to Michael and the teams hospitality, knowledge and all in all welcoming nature. We will definitely be back to experience MUW by ourselves for a long afternoon… oh and also, the wines were delicious!

You will receive a warm sniffy welcome from the farm mascot Puppy the dog. Then you enter the amazingly decorated barn to be welcomed by the owners. Everyone in uniform here is a wine expert who knows a lot about the spirit they are selling. However, in case you have a specific question or want to have a business negotiation, ask for Richard. He is the man with all the answers who might even give you a free bottle of wine!!

My favourite place to visit with my husband or girlfriends. Everyone that works there are just lovely especially Sarah A lovely touch when Michael comes by and has a chat with you. Amazing wine/s at affordable prices, delicious cheese platters, great atmosphere… love this place! Love seeing Poppy the dog on site plus the goats and other animals, just beautiful! Lastly we can bring our little dogs too on leads. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with a few wines and your best friends by your side!

Found this place on Google whilst doing a road trip from Melbourne. The place was beautiful and rustic, and the staff were more than welcoming and very willing to let us taste a few of their wines. We also met Michael and Poppy, his gentle giant of a dog. We just had to grab a few bottles because the wines were really tasty. Definitely recommend taking a walk around the premises and giving Poppy a few pats and scratches!

We had a wonderful afternoon at Michael Unwin Wines. Sarah was a welcoming and knowledgeable host, who was so patient with our large group of 10. After a guided tasting we enjoyed some bottles of wine by the fire with a substantial cheese platter. It was a perfect afternoon. Definitely recommend!!
