The terrace is beautiful and the wonderful women who work there were so good hosts. As an American traveling in France, this is exactly the kind of authentic and excellent restaurant I was hoping to find. Merci La Grotte!
I ate here as part of a wine tour. We had the Pasta special that contained a glass of wine. The food and the wine were good. The rest was very nice and the service was good. We enjoyed our lunch.
I visited this restaurant 10 years ago when it was a small family restaurant where the grandmother made everything cooking, local food. I was a vegetarian (now a pescatarian) that can make it tricky in France, but she went out of her way to give me something special, plus the wine that looks at the castle amazing. After we returned to France for 10 years in a group of 15 (8 children), we thought we would see each other again. We were not surprised to see that it had changed less rustic more funky and modern both the decoration and the food, but thankfully it is not ruined. They were happy to sit all 15 of us in the garden on the castle. Was also happy to sit the children on themselves and were well up with them after they had eaten and to move happily it gated and safe. There was a decent cover band that Beatle, Bowie, led Zeppelin etc., etc. played the enquiries and allowed the singer in our company to be their supporting singer. The food was good, but the wine and the cocktails were great. So at the end of the night was a lot of dance. The photo doesn't make it fair that they don't capture the atmosphere. Food was nice, although not everyone was a fan of goat cheese ice cream. Only criticism was the bear not cold enough that we had a great night like the children. If you pay in the neck of the forest there is a visit it is worth going.
