Legends Of Nebraska - Beatrice

The prime rib was fantastic, the wine selection was good, the server was awesome, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the owner clearly cares about customer experience. And let's not forget about the delicious onion rings!

When I found out, years ago, that Legends of Claytonia was closing, I feared that Nebraska was losing a great restaurant forever. I was very pleased to find out they relocated to Beatrice. I believe the owner relocated hoping that being in Beatrice would increase the amount of business they get. For dinner, I ordered the 4 piece chicken dinner with hashbrowns and the option to go through the salad bar 1 time. If you have never had their fried chicken before, I highly recommend it. It's better than KFC and Popeyes. The key to their chicken is it's fried in peanut oil. The salad bar is also still amazing. The vegetables are fresh, and the salad dressing is still homemade. I did not have room for dessert. I'll have to try a slice of pie the next time I visit. If I was disappointed by anything, it was that the size of their plates for the salad bar are smaller. Judging by the reviews written by other people, it looks like I am not the only one to notice this.

What a wonderful surprise when we had dinner at this unassuming restaurant in a little shopping mall in Beatrice. We have lived in the area for a year now and have struggled to find good places to eat. Legends has a cozy and clean environment with a very friendly and competent wait staff, a fantastic salad bar, and best of all AMAZING FOOD. Our waiter Grant was extremely helpful, knew his stuff, and made us feel very special. I can't say enough good things about this place. My wife had a ribeye that she said was very good and the red snapper I had blew me away. The bar is low in Beatrice for restaurants but even if the bar was high this place would compare favorably.

In from Omaha on business, Legend's was suggested for its Red Snapper. The Red Snapper was excellent as well as the Spinach Artichoke dip. The decor is cozy and friend. The service provided was outstanding complete with the owner visiting each table with warm friend stories.
