Route 40 Diner - Bear

I've eaten three times for breakfast in my business trips to DE. I ordered 3 different things (pancakes, eggs and French toast). Every time the food came perfect. The eggs I had were over easy and I can't tell you how many times I ordered them elsewhere and got casual whites. Not here. They were perfect. The pancakes and the French toast were also very good and perfectly cooked. The servers are friendly and prompt. I can't beat that. The restaurant is very clean and it certainly has its regular guests as when customers come and go, they recognize the other customers with name. Definitely give this place a try when you are in the area.

At Route 40 Diner just now – we love this place for consistently good breakfast. When we entered, we thought we were leaving because the usual bozz of busy and efficient servers with only 3 people was quiet in front of the house and a dining room full of customers. We stayed and were very happy that we did. I'm not sure if servers called or weren't planned, but the service was solid, the food was as expected and everyone was friendly. Great job!

The first time I ordered food here was my omelet on the point, beautiful and full. I have a veggie omelet with Cheddar cheese, at home fries well, big coffee, server was very friendly. Good. I will definitely return. I would take a picture, but I ate it too fast

Breakfast is the meal at Route 40 Diner. Her omelets, French toast and pancakes are delicious. Your desserts are also really good. The service is very good. The place could use an update, but it works. Overall, it is a good local diner.

The food was great and the servers were great. For years past this diner and we are happy to have tried. We first went on the same road to IHOP, but there was a 30-minute waiting time. So we looked for another diner on Google Maps and remembered this diner. There was no line and we had to sit one minute on the door. This diner has many articles in their menu and it seems that most customers enjoy their food and are just regular conversations. We saw a dessert refrigerator set on the way and all the items in it look fantastic. Unfortunately we were all full and could not try anything on their dessert selection.
