P.F. Chang's China Bistro. - Beachwood

That was waiting too long. the host didn't work well with seating. we had a reservation, but didn't feel like we had one. I sat for the first time in a table in front of the door that was not comfortable because every time someone opens the door, we feel cold. as soon as we changed the tables, everything went well. the waiter was nice and the food was good.

Something happened last night. we have often been in this restaurant and travel from youngstown to go there. the food just didn't taste the same and didn't taste much. the service and waiter was exceptional

That was okay, but the server we had was terrible. he could not even remember that everyone asks for water, he never came to us to check and end when I went to use my reward card from open table, he was excited and argued that he needed my phone number and it was for p chang reward program. he didn't let me explain that it was open. at the end I was not able to use my $25 dining room reward. I would not recommend this restaurant

Our meals were good. I appreciate our server finding out for me what is the best low sodium meal. noise level was difficult for us to communicate.

I haven’t been out to dinner much in the last couple of years. So thought we would treat ourselves to PFChangs. We could not have been more disappointed in our meal and the evening. I said twice to our server that we were not in any hurry. Clearly that meant nothing as we were three bites into our appetizer when our meals arrived. Server offered to take them back and remake them when I expressed displeasure. I don’t trust that process, so we were forced to rush through our appetizer and dig into our meal before food got cold. So much for a relaxing couples dinner. I had steak entree. It was very rare which would be okay if there was a knife offered because it was very tough and not bite sized pieces Not easily eaten with chopsticks. White rice was fine. My husband ordered sweet and sour chicken. Nicely cooked not overly cooked but nothing at all special about the sweet and sour flavor. With your meal , you are offered brown or white rice. For an up charge of 4.50$ (WOW! you may have fried rice. That’s what he wanted, so that’s what he ordered. It was nothing more than the brown rice with a few pieces of maybe egg and a veggie added. Not fried, no flavor. The saving dish was the calamari app. Perfectly cooked, lightly breaded, perfect spices and a really nice horseradish dipping sauce. However, as stated earlier, the delight was ruined by plates of entrees brought to the table just as we started to enjoy the calamari. 100$ later (including one cocktail and tip most of the meals were left on the table. We left so disappointed and hungry. We will not return. So many other options to choose from.
