I experienced slow service and was disappointed by the portion sizes considering the price we paid. The bread was dry with minimal filling, and the soup was just mediocre. Overall, the food quality was lacking. To see your bill, you have to request to view it on their screen, and they won’t provide a paper receipt unless you share your personal phone number or email address for them to send it to you. Additionally, they attempted to overcharge me, which was concerning. The best part of the experience was leaving. Wishing you all the best, but this visit didn’t change my opinion; two hours later at my desk, I was still hungry! I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Since my first lunch at this restaurant, I've been back countless times. I've sampled about 60 percent of the menu and haven't found a single dish that's disappointing. It's as if they aim to impress me, cooking everything to perfection each time. The casseroles are outstanding, and my daughter absolutely loves their peanut butter and jelly sandwich—she insists we go at least three times a week! The desserts are heavenly, and the sandwiches are fantastic. I think the cheesy tamale soup might be my favorite, but honestly, I could enjoy anything on the menu; it's all that good. If you haven't dined here yet, you're truly missing out. You won’t find a lunch this delicious and affordable anywhere else.

Even though the restaurant wasn't crowded and half of the tables were closed, we still had to wait a considerable amount of time for our food. Once we received our order, the staff didn't check on us, and it was difficult to get their attention. My 3-year-old even requested not to come back, which I hate to hear because I really want to support local businesses.

I visited this restaurant a few days ago and witnessed how the owner treats their staff. No matter how good the food is, respect for people is essential. Employees deserve to be treated like human beings, not as if they are subordinate. I won't be returning and will also share my experience with friends. I recommend avoiding this place!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of dining in with a friend, and Julie took wonderful care of us! It was a truly delightful experience. I highly recommend trying the Gentleman's Club sandwich on jalapeno bread along with a bowl of soup. My personal favorites are the tamale soup and the cheeseburger soup. You won’t want to miss the pimento cheese ball paired with their homemade spiced crackers either. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff here is always cheerful and works diligently to ensure every guest has everything they need, creating a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. If you're in the Mont Belvieu area, or don’t mind a little drive for excellent service, I encourage you to check out the Little Mustard Seed Tearoom!
