Nara Thai Dining - Baytown

The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered the eggplant and tofu dish with jasmine rice and had it at a spice level of 4 out of 5. It was amazing.

I used to frequent Nara Thai every week for years, even through three chef changes. However, after the second chef left, the flavors weren't as good and they began leaving the tofu in large pieces that were undercooked in the middle. Despite being hot, the tofu was too soft for my taste because it wasn't properly browned. Since the Eggplant Basil Tofu was my go-to dish, I eventually stopped going after multiple requests to have the tofu cut into smaller pieces went unanswered.

While on an 8-hour road trip, I stumbled upon this restaurant and it was the only vegan-friendly option I could find. The food was simple but delicious.

It's a nice atmosphere. We are fairly new at eating Plant Based/ Vegan, but this is one of our go-to spots when we are not cooking. We enjoy the food.

I visited nara thai, almost every week for years, and by changes of 3 chefs. after the 2nd boil left, the aromen were not so good and they began to cut tofu in large pieces that were never completely boiled. the tofu was hot, but too soft in the middle for my lust, considering that it was not tanned. since the auberginen basil tofu was my favourite dish, I stopped asking for several to cut the tofu into smaller pieces.
