It was very busy but I have to say for the amount you pay for the buffet you get a great selection of hot and cold food plus desserts. The buffet...was replenished when low . The staff were wonderful and very helpful . If you want somewhere to go for a great meal that’s affordable , I would definitely give it a try. Drink prices were also reasonable. Thanks to the staff that helped with our birthday cake , nothing was too much trouble.
A party of eight came for a birthday party. Fish is always a good option. Three people ordered Grilled fish and chips…..such an easy dish to make. The fish was completely tasteless as if it he been boiled. Very disappointing. I grill fish all the...time at home and it is tasty. You expect to go out and get better when cooked by a good chef. I would like to bring people there more often but please up your game. I am reading some very bad reviews and i used to think your smorgasbord was wonderful, so will give it a try and see if it still is
The dinning room is very clean and the staff are excellent, but the seafood night on Tuesday the of March was just terrible, The battered fish was very soggy the chips also soft soggy and cold, they had peeled thawed prawns which had...no taste, I'm quite sure these prawns were imported and were not nice to eat at all. there was a triangle piece soggy battered fish which looked like a fish cake slice and had no taste. the little Thai soft shelled crabs were also done in a soggy batter, the mussels how ever were very nice and were done in an Italian type of tomato sauce I did enjoy those, for the cost sadly it was not worth it, it was just like a normal buffet but had chips with the fish and had pieces of Barramundi fish and soggy battered baby octopus. If you wanted oysters that was an extra charge but I do not eat oysters so could not give an opinion My wife and I had eaten the seafood buffet in and the food was excellent and prepared well
Of us pensioners had the pensioners specials. A choice of selective meal and choice of dessert!! Fish n chips were dry and tasteless, dessert was custard and a spoonful of jelly Honestly does one think because you are a pensioner...one has to eat baby food!! I had the snapper and prawns Not exactly cheap . Prawns were ok, the snapper was dry and tasteless. The chips salty and soggy . Only managed half of the meal. Am afraid I will not be returning.
As the buffet is not currently in service we decided on the garlic bread followed by the Surf and Turf with a garlic sauce. The garlic bread was really tasty, the steak was perfect, as was the sauce. Very happy to get the seasoned chips...instead of the bland chips many restaurants have reverted back to. Meal was only about minutes after ordering, overall a lovely meal at a great price and good service. We will definitely be back.
