Woodland Drive In -  Bayfield,

Whenever I want a break from cooking, I head to Woodland Drive In. Portions are large and food is consistently tasty. Great location and you can eat in park setting or bring home.

Stopped for lunch. Very old style, place order, get number, wait for your number to be called over loud speaker then go pay all while you are waiting out side. They do have a grass area with picnic tables so you can eat. Very nice it is like a garden. Prices are very reasonable. Had hamburgers and fries. Really good, a must try.

This is a regular stop for us coming into or leaving Bayfield. Burgers, dogs, fish and chips. 3 items on the kids menu, large assortment of appies and drinks. Also good for ice cream. On the edge of town so a bit of a walk if staying in the village. Ample outdoor seating. Reasonably priced.

When a lot of places are aiming to reproduce 'retro cool' and 'old time' chic, the Woodland is an authentic rural drive in diner that has embraced locally sourced meat and eats. Definitely a local 'go to' place and should be on everyone's list before they call their Bayfield Experience complete.

A 1960's style rural burger bar, BUT the meat is local and high quality. The choice of burger or chicken dinners is unbelievable for a seasonal restaurant (closes after Canadian thanksgiving until May?) Swiss chees and mushroom burger is one of my faves. Desert choices of "blixzards, dipped soft serve, sundaes is extensive and I love "blizzards" but now find I prefer the dipped cones so I don't stuff myself. Good pricing, good food and a unique country setting to enjoy a fast (not a typical fast food) meal. Worth a try for a real good "fry"
