Just to clarify, there are two pubs named The Royal Oak in Bath. This review is referring to the one located on Lower Bristol Road. It seems that some reviewers and photos may be confused. I do not believe this pub serves food. The pub is a straightforward beer establishment with a great selection of beers, some brewed in-house and others from UK and foreign brewers. If you're looking for a traditional pub experience, this is the place to go.
I have visited this restaurant numerous times. As a local resident, I would say it is one of the top pubs in Bath. They offer a fantastic variety of drinks, particularly ales and ciders. The outdoor seating area is lovely and the staff are exceptional. They frequently host live music events, which is a plus! I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.
I had a fantastic time at this pub! It has quickly become my favorite spot. Despite being located near a busy road, the stylish and cozy beer garden made me forget about the noise. The garden is well-enclosed and adds to the overall charm of the pub. During the pandemic, I have been cautious due to my recent surgery, but I felt safe and comfortable at the Royal Oak. I appreciate that they offer local small batch ciders, not just mainstream brands. The bar staff went above and beyond to accommodate our group while also managing the seated tables efficiently. Sam and Alex were exceptional and made my experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely be returning and will recommend this place to my friends. Thanks to Sam and Alex for their outstanding service!
Wonderful place, incredible owner staff. Excellent range of beers that are forever changing to keep your palate pleased.
