Bates City -b-q

Eating was great, serving size more than sufficient, and just a nice little place to enjoy your meal. As a young man (workers) patiently help an older couple in the doors, the employees were friendly. Would stop.

The combo plate included a generous portion of ribs, ham, and bark meat. Unfortunately, the ribs were heated in a microwave, resulting in a less-than-pleasant texture that I couldn’t finish. The ham was a bit saltier than I prefer, but the bark was beautifully tender and tasty. My husband tried the burnt ends, which were a good size, although the pieces were smaller than what I've experienced at other BBQ restaurants. The BBQ sauce served with the meat was enjoyable, but it didn’t quite match the flavor of the bottle on the tables. Overall, for a small town with a cozy vibe, the experience wasn’t terrible, and I would definitely consider stopping by again if I find myself back in the area!

I was completely impressed by this restaurant and had previously believed that I didn't like Kansas City BBQ, but this experience changed my mind. I would personally recommend trying the ham and turkey. I will definitely be returning to this city!

Wow, great food. brisket is very good as burned end. the price is also very pleasant. I enjoyed this restaurant very and often come back!

Fantastic BBQ spot located in Bates City, Missouri, right off Highway 70 at mile marker 31, close to Kansas City. The beef brisket here is exceptional!
