La Madonnina - BASTIA UMBRA

We went here tonight by accident, seeing we don't speak any Italian, communication was difficult. However we had a 4 course meal, with wine and coffee. 3 pasta courses to die for then a Steak to die for. I have been a user of Trip Advisor for several years and have never had a meal that I felt I would leave a comment for. In my work, I work in many countries worldwide on a monthly basis. This is a must go. A real jewel in the aera.

Owner speaks very little English and we speak very little Italian but we certainly were able to communicate enough to get a great dinner. My wife and I split a caprese salad for a starter owner assured us that it would large enough for two. It was enough for two, but the ingredients were so fresh that I could have eaten more [not that I needed to] just because of the taste. My I wife and I both decided on the pork fillet with pepper and roasted vegetables. The vegetables were done perfectly, the pork had so much flavor and was so tender. the owner decided that I hadn't had enough for dinner and brought me a plate of sauteed green beans, because you aren't leaving here hungry. When we declined after dinner coffees, she offered them too us on the house, but neither of us are big coffee drinkers after lunch so we still declined her offer. They now accept credit cards for payment.

Had the worst dinner ever! Waitress did not even listen to what we ordered and just did what she wanted, after complaining the atmosphere just went even worse. The people here are or drunk or totally crazy. And last but not least had to pay a lot for the dinner I did not even order.

Great. the reception, the menu, the times, the dishes, everything perfect. strongly suggested to all those in the area.

Beautiful and typical location, good and characteristic appetizers and good the first dishes with homemade pasta, only defect the owner the other reviews had warned us) , of the written menu lacks half the things, the rest proposes it in a confused way ... in short I would have given a greater score if everything had been managed differently, excellent quality price
