It's right near the Bassendean train station and does a roaring trade in takeaway coffee as the workers pass by on their way to the station. The coffee is amazing! The menu is quite different to other cafes and the chocolate pancakes are to die for. The service was fast and very efficient and even on a weekday morning the place was full. I can't wait to go back To The Woods!
Good service, good food, ambience is good. Coffee is good, however be careful when ordering and if your fussy like me ask exactly what is in the dish. I ordered eggs toast feta and tomato, but I got pesto on my toast which I don't eat, they fixed this for me very promptly without any fuss!
Good little local, nice atmosphere. Small but really great feel. Food limited but good for what it is Friendly local cafè.
Great food, lovely small cafe and friendly staff. Be aware that they close around 3 ish, so come earlier for lunch.
We used to go to this cafe all the time but it had slipped a bit since it was sold. Thought we would give it another go but unfortunately it has slipped even more. We went for a late breakfast midweek and it was hardly busy. Our order took ages to come. I ordered eggs Benny and my husband ordered a piece of apple pie. It was no where near as good as it was when it first opened, I scraped the bits of sauce (can't say it was hollandaise just a thick gluey heavy sauce) off it and ate the rest. I was completely finished and am not by any means a fast eater, by the time my husbands apple pie arrived. They did apologise and said it was because they had to whip the cream to go with it, but all in all it was a pretty average experience. With the number of high level of new eateries around Bassendean I think they really need to lift their game if they want to stay.
