My personal favorite is the Nagariya Chicken, but I highly recommend trying the minced meat and chicken dish called Gurkhas Revenge as well. Despite its name, it won't give you any unpleasant surprises the next morning. One thing to note is that there are no vegetarian options available on the online ordering platform 'Just Eat', but if you call for takeout directly, they do offer vegetarian dishes. The delivery service is efficient and reliable - every time I requested a Saturday night delivery for 7:15pm, it arrived within 10 minutes, which is truly impressive. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth a try.
The food lasted an hour to arrive, but it was a Saturday night, so can appreciate if they are busy. When the food arrived... wow! It smelled delicious and the pick-up tubs were really heavy and full. You really have a lot of food for your money. We ordered a lamb Dopiaza, Pilau rice, chicken biryani, say aloo and two keema nans. It just came to £22.95 and if you spent over £15, they give you a free Bombay aloo. There were only two of us and we had too much food, we ended up with leftovers (which we ended the next day), although we gave it a good lot and try to finish our food in the first night as it was so delicious. There were plenty of meat in the curries that both were cooked nicely. The sauces in the curries were full of taste and the keema-nans were HUGE! The Sagaloo was well cooked and there was a perfect mix of potatoes and spinach. We will definitely order from them again as it was really good quality delicious food and good value for money.
During lockdown, we made a new discovery with this restaurant. Their menu is fascinating, offering lots of new and exciting dishes to try. My personal favorite is the Nagariya Chicken, but I highly recommend trying the Gurkhas Revenge dish with minced meat and chicken. Don't worry, it won't come back to bite you in the morning. One thing to note is that there are no vegetarian options on the 'Just Eat' menu, their preferred method of online ordering. However, when I called the take-away directly, I discovered they do have vegetarian options available, so make sure to check with them if that's your preference. The delivery service is excellent. Every time I've requested a Saturday night delivery for 7:15pm, it has arrived within 10 minutes - amazing! Definitely worth a try.
Although it took over an hour for our food to arrive due to it being a busy Saturday night, we were pleasantly surprised when it did. The dishes smelled delicious and the takeaway containers were filled to the brim. For the price, we got a generous amount of food including a lamb dopiaza, pilau rice, chicken biryani, sag aloo, and two keema nans. The total came to £22.95 and we even received a complimentary bombay aloo for spending over £15. Despite being just two people, we had leftovers because of the large portions. The food was so tasty that we tried to finish it all in one go. The curries were full of meat and flavor, the keema nans were oversized, and the sag aloo had a perfect balance of potatoes and spinach. We will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again as it offered delicious, high-quality food at a great value.
A new discovery to us during lockdown. They have a fascinating menu with lots of new and exciting dishes to try. My favourite is Nagariya Chicken but I can highly recommend the mince meat and chicken dish called Gurkhas Revenge! and no it doesn't come...back to bite you in the morning. One thing to point out is there are no vegetarian options on the Just Eat' menu;their preferred method of on-line ordering. However, when I phoned the take-away they do have vegetarian options so check direct if that's your thing. Delivery is spot on. Each time I have asked for a Sat night delivery for it has arrived within minutes.....amazing! Well worth a try.
