The Whole Empanada - BASALT

They serve the best empanadas in the area, not just in the Roaring Fork Valley. Shanini is exceptional and runs the business with her brother. The Empanadas have a thin, light, and airy dough that sets them apart. All the flavors are fantastic, but my favorite is the hunch, with its sweet corn and paprika seasoning.

These empanadas are the best I've ever had. They are not greasy and made with high-quality ingredients.

Pretty darn good empanadas. The location is a bit strange, it was hidden in the back of a warehouse looking building. Don't let that discourage you because the food is great and right after you finish eating you can go right across the street and relax by the river. Overall great experience.

Tasty empanadas, you can order ahead if you want. They also offer coffee, although the machine was not cooperative the day I was there.Friendly staff, easy parking.
