The hotel and the grounds were beautiful. The location is amazing, and the room we stopped in (no.3) was lovely, the views from the room were fantastic. Breakfast was tasty and good value for money, and the second breakfast we got room service and had on the room balcony. All the hotel staff were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel offers loads of different information on the local attractions and businesses to plan your days out. We noticed the hotel was family friendly and we would love to bring our children in the future. Would recommend booking some days out/experiences in advance. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant for meals but we did order from the bar menu, and sat in the lounge looking out at the fantastic views. There's plenty of parking space at the hotel which is free of charge during your stay. The beds are comfy, the hotel rooms clean with tasteful period decor.

Beautiful hotel in the Lake District just off the M6. Food was great, room was spectacular with great views. Would recommend.

Had a wonderful stay, our room was amazing and the view stunning. Staff brilliant especially Louis and the gentleman behind the bar. Will definitely be back and for longer.
