The Furness Railway - Barrow-in-Furness

The hotel is very good, clean, the rooms are big and the price is great. If you could pick it up and move the whole place to a more attractive town is would be perfect. But then it would also be double the price. Worth a visit and a good base to explore the lake district.

Such a lovely place to stay from the moment we got here the service is amazing, would love to thank Danielle for helping us and greeting us when we got here and helping us with anything we needed. Lovely and clean hotel and delicious food.

Stayed in hotel for 2 nights for our base for lake district, greeted by lovely reception staff, room was spotless clean bed very comfortable and shower excellent you get plenty of tea and coffee in room as well as a bottle of water each and biscuits too great value for money and £1.99 a pint of Carling and John Smith's would definitely stay here again although the area isnt the best. Car park behind the hotel free from 3pm until 8am but if you pay at machine after 6.30pm it will let you pay for how many hours you want after 8am we paid until 11am to let us have a lie in and have breakfast and it was £3

Great service by the staff. Fast check in and rooms very clean. Packed at night but Rob the doorman found us a table when told we were staying there. Absolutely great guy. Should get a pay rise.

The hotel was clean, featuring comfortable rooms and modern decor. We were pleasantly surprised by the daily service, as our towels were changed and the room was tidied up during our three-day stay. The food was typical of Wetherspoon—good, affordable, and served quickly. However, the downside was the location, as the city had little to offer. We chose to stay primarily due to the great price and drove daily to the Lake District for our activities.
