Tara is one of the restaurants that defined my love for Indian food.
Worst experience ever..poor service..will nvr recommend anyone._0 star for their pathetic service.
We got two take-out meals from this restaurant, both with lamb. Large servings, reasonable price, friendly staff. Very good food (if you like Indian styles dishes).
My husband and I decided to eat at Tara on our way back to Aurora from Parry Sound. We have eaten here before, and remembered the food to be authentic and really delicious, so we were starving and excited to enjoy a lovely Indian meal.We had samosas to start, they were excellent, lots of tasty filling, and light and crispy. My husband ordered the Butter chicken, mainly because of the excellent reviews we read on the menu, I ordered the chicken biryani, as it is my favourite Indian dish, neither dish looked or tasted authentic. The Biryani did have large pieces of chicken in it, but it wasn't remotely like any Biryani I've ever had before, bland totally without flavour, it actually tasted like their rice with some chicken and cashews stirred into it. My husband's Butter chicken was disgusting, the sauce was completely curdled, and frankly tasted like cheese whiz with sugar in it.This restaurant is not cheap by any means, so it was a complete disappointment, we left most of it, the waiter asked if we wanted to take it with us, and when we said no, he was quite offended, and insisted in wrapping it up for us. I threw it in the nearest bin outside the restaurant.Needless to say we will never go back, I can only deduce that the people who have written good reviews on Trip Advisor have not had the opportunity to eat good authentic Indian Food, so have no idea what they are missing.
