Swiss Chalet - Barrie

I hadn't had the chicken pot pie in years, so I decided to order it today, telling my son how amazing it was. Unfortunately, I was disappointed! Why change something so delicious into the worst meal I've had? The puff pastry was so tough that I needed a chainsaw to cut through it. For anyone reading this, don't order the pot pie unless they bring back the original pie crust!

This restaurant used to be consistently good, and we've been coming here for years. However, over the past few years, the quality has noticeably declined. The servers are friendly and do their best, but the overall cleanliness and condition of the place have deteriorated. Unfortunately, we were overwhelmed by flies during our visit today, which is a clear sign that cleaning standards are lacking; the floors hadn't been swept, and our table was sticky. The food matched the state of the restaurant—bland and unremarkable. The chicken was rubbery and tasteless, while the french fries were cold, soggy, and unsalted. While I still enjoy Swiss Chalet, I will definitely choose a different location in the future.

I have been a loyal customer of Swiss Chalet for many years, but this particular location is by far the worst I have ever encountered! The prices for food have skyrocketed while the portion sizes have drastically shrunk. The rib and chicken meal came with an unbelievably tiny serving of coleslaw—honestly, it would have been better if they had just omitted it entirely! Additionally, we always seem to wait an excessive amount of time. Tonight, there were countless dissatisfied customers, including one who nearly got arrested due to their extreme frustration. I will never return to this location and am considering boycotting Swiss Chalet altogether. This has been the worst experience ever!

Awesome service from Paige. The restaurant was very busy because of the 2 can dine special. Paige was so friendly, very attentive and extremely patient with everyone she served. A smile on her face, checked on us and everyone else she was serving, a must for a great server. She interacted with children and treated every customer with respect. She has such a calm demeanour you’d think she was your family member enjoying dinner with you. We’d be happy to have her in our family.Of course the food was excellent! But have to say that Lisa, the manager, must be working wonders with her staff because they were all smiling and as efficient as they could be on such a busy night. Cheers to all!We look forward to having Paige serve us again and enjoying Swiss Chalet that stands the test of time!

Kelly our server was an absolute charm. An asset to Swiss Chalet. We truly enjoyed our meal with Kelly as our server. The fish and chips was outstanding and needs to be on the menu. Kelly and the fish and chips are two items that will definitely bring us back. Thank you Swiss Chalet! ?
