St. Louis Bar and Grill - Barrie

I always heard great things about St.Louis bar and grill. With my recent experience, the food was ok, the staff and environment were great! I ordered a sweet chilli wings and upgrade the fries to their St.Louis poutine and I don't think the poutine was worth the cost of the upgrade as it was a small regular poutine with scallions and a chopped up chicken finger. I'm sure if you order the St.Louis poutine on its own, it would be worth it but not as a side upgrade in my opinion. The wings were good but nothing special that would have me coming back immediately. Next time I want to try the waffle fries as I heard they are amazing.

This place was actually pretty good. I had the St Louis style poutine and it was really good. I love poutine in general and this was good. It can be a shareable appetizer, but I had it as a meal. Good BBQ sauce flavor. Atmosphere is casual, as it is a sports bar, and the staff is friendly. Kid friendly and a great place to hang out to watch your favorite team.

Stopped in with family on Friday night. We were seated near the entrance but was cold and draughty whenever the door opened. My wife and youngest ate with their coats on. I ordered the Thai bowl but was informed it was not available. So I ordered the fish and chips .. tartar sauce with dill ? And rubbery coating ... not a great impression. I wasn't alone in my food assessment from our group. Disappointing.

I picked up an order of mango chipotle wings and fries for takeout. I get home and the wings were flavorless and dull and the fries too salty. Was very disappointed, as I've usually had good food from this location.

It's been 4 years since I've been here because of horrible food, gave it a try again and it's still just as bad as I remember, people going on about how good the food is? Really? Do you ever leave the house? Famous Ribs? Worst Ive ever had, dry wings no sauce, fries? Gross! But then again not many restaurants can create this difficult culinary delight, will I go back? Maybe, because the draft beer was cold and the atmosphere is excellent, the garlic bread twist were really good as well, but never again ribs, wings or fries! Advice, be famous for something else, not ribs and wings!
