Kenzington Burger - Barrie

The bryne drive location used to be my favourite restaurant in Barrie. Some friends and I went for dinner this week and were treated terribly by the waitress. My friends order was wrong, when we informed the waitres, she told us the order was right. We told her we have ordered the item before and none of the ingredients listed on the menu were on the dish. We even opened up the wrap to show her what was inside. She then proceeded to become even more rude and said that she has worked there for 12 years and she knows what she's serving. Not wanting to cause a scene, we dropped it and just asked for our bills. When she brought the bill, she had given my friend a discount. While not expected we thought it was a nice gesture. That is until we saw the receipt. The waitress had left a comment on the receipt that said customer clearly didn't read the menu. She didn't even wait for us to pay, she just threw the debit machine on the table and walked away. We will not be returning to this location.

Very good food and service, we were welcome by Devo and made to feel like favourite local.

I rated Kenzington Burger Bar higher than I normally would because it's the only place in Barrie that is trying to stay open late while all the other places close (St. Louis, Wild Wings, etc. . The staff are all attentive with excellent customer service skills. It's a well designed getaway in the South end and has a wide variety of menu options (more than just burgers . A few of the items on the menu are overpriced but they've incorporated some daily deals to increase the value. There's lot of parking as most of the surrounding shops close at 7pm. When they have it, the live music fits the ambiance but is far too loud for the size.

Food was amazing, not a single complaint about that. Problem was the service. We were generally ignored by all staff, but especially our server. A large group arrived after my wife and I, so we got forgotten about. Even had to go to the bar to ask for the bill just so we could leave. Maybe it was an off day for the staff, but I will not be returning to this location. It's too bad the one in Bradford closed.

Every time I come here and look at the menu prices, I think this place is expensive. As soon as I bite into their burger or sandwich, I think, yeah, totally worth it. Maybe consider having some padding on booth seating...and although you use a cleaner on your table that makes it feel sticky...it's still kinda gross. Consider changing it.
