We just came back from several days at Lazy Lions. As everyone else said, it was quiet and chill and in beautiful condition. The bathrooms were spotless. it was odd though in the four nights we were there, we never saw another camp fire, or even saw anyone else outside except for brief dog walks. While there is no road noise, also the Rock of Ages quarry is right next door and during the day, there is persistent noise that comes from there.
Great campground for the adults. We enjoyed the lack of a pool and playground this time around. We love having our grandkids with us, but sometimes it 's nice to have grown up time with some peace and quiet. The place is well maintained and cared for, and the owners are both present and friendly.
Stay here! Charming is a good word to describe all the extra touches... a well taken care of above ground pool, pots of well taken care of plants and flowers...and the lawns are beautidul. The campsites were nicely spaced...we had plenty of room to back in our 44' Class A w toad. Full hook up on a level site with beautidul trees everywhere, we had a partial shaded site. The camp host was a delight, we called a few times ahead and he was always happy and full of information. While in the area make sure to visit the Rock of Ages Granite Quarry! Just around the corner from the campground it's a fascinating tour and inexpensive. It tool about an hour total including walking through the factory where you can watch production! We learned a lot and highly suggest it!!!
Lazy Lions is a charming, family-run campground that operates from May to October. The sites are level and consist of grass and gravel, providing a comfortable camping experience. The water pressure is excellent, and the 50 amp power supply is well maintained and clean. It's conveniently located for exploring central Vermont, with Burlington just an hour away, Montpelier only 15 minutes, and Stowe about 30-35 minutes. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our stay in our motorhome and would definitely return to Lazy Lions Campground.
