Absolutely excellent dining experience! I came here for a Valentine's meal, and everything was remarkable. The caviar starter was the most delicious I've ever had, followed by sea bass that was perfectly cooked, and I finished with a heavenly strawberry tiramisu! The service was incredibly friendly and helpful; the staff created a wonderful atmosphere. The food here is truly mind-blowing, and the team is outstanding. I highly recommend this place! I'm definitely returning for steak night because my friend tried it and raved about it. I also recommended this restaurant to a co-worker, and she loved it and plans to come back. Overall, it’s a fantastic place with fantastic food and fantastic staff!

My partner took me out for a birthday dinner at Boccelli's on Friday, June 1st, and we were thoroughly impressed. For my appetizer, I had snuggles with garlic and chili in a tomato sauce, and for my main course, I enjoyed filet steak tagliatelle. My partner went for king prawns as his appetizer and crab-filled cockles for his main dish. Everything was freshly prepared and served directly to our table. The owner recommended a fabulous Fiano white wine from Puglia that paired perfectly with the food. After indulging in a delightful ice dessert, the owner graciously gave us a tour of the restaurant and shared the history of the building, which once housed monks. We capped off the evening with complimentary limoncello liqueur. We will definitely be going back!

The building is beautifully presented, capturing a charming, nostalgic vibe. The food is reasonably priced, and they offer a 15% discount on the entire bill on Wednesdays and Thursdays, which is a nice bonus. While the menu isn’t the most extensive, its quality certainly compensates for the lack of variety. If the menu changes with the seasons, I’d definitely find myself returning more often. Quality-wise, the food was excellent. The chef clearly knows their craft and takes pride in what they serve. While there aren't many vegetarian options, I'm sure they would be willing to make substitutions to accommodate dietary preferences. The drink selection is decent, though somewhat pricey, featuring some local wines and beers. One standout feature for me was the unique cocktail created with a premium spirit—it was simply fantastic. However, the true highlight of our visit was the staff. It’s a rare pleasure to encounter enthusiastic, attentive, and genuinely happy employees, especially in the Barnsley area. Our waitress appeared to love her job and made an effort to ensure everyone was satisfied. She engaged with patrons after their meals and seemed genuinely interested in what they had to say. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you!

Visited 10th february. overall very good and will visit again, only a critique mentioned below. very warm and friendly waitress and staff were also. had bubbly bokong for my starter, it was delicious, but wished the piece was a bit bigger than my dad had the jack daniel’s huhn, which was a very essential starter and was also delicious. the 3 nets were steak and ale cake 5/5 big size, lamb shank 5/5 and I had the bark wellington. the court was nice, but my only disappointment was the filet was very well done, I expected it medium-sized rare. it was mentioned when the bill was set, but recommended that it happen if so this should have been mentioned in the order. also the wellington court would have done with a bit more rooted vegetables with it, as it had a lot of maic and beautiful rich red wine gravy, so would have been good for balance.

Lovely meal, had starters and main courses for 2. Only took photos of mains as the starters looked so good that we just tucked in! Halloumi starter and belly pork which were both amazing. Chicken sharwarma and chicken supreme for main were really good couldn't fault it. Service very good 2 staff who were very attentive, friendly and efficient. We will go back and next time hopefully have room for dessert. Also got 15% off so brilliant value for money.
