Loved our stay here. The place has loads of character and charm mixing it's history with modern comfortable rooms. Very easy to imagine the stories this place could tell. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bar small enough to ensure we enjoyed a nice atmosphere. Both our evening meal and breakfast were lovely. If we were up in the area we'd definitely stay here again. Rooms: Very comfortable rooms with nice modern shower facilities. Nearby activities: Barnard Castle is close by with loads of things to see and do. Walkability: Lots of walks in the immediate area. Food drinks: Food drinks were plentiful and a great price too.
