La PeÑita Gourmet - Barichara

Myself and three Colombian family members had breakfast here after a hike in the area. I had a tamale which came wrapped in a banana leaf. I love the polenta style tamales in Colombia and this one was delicious. My friends all had scrambled eggs and shared a giant arepa. It was all fantastic and the service was terrific.

This family owned restaurant had amazing food that we could tell was made with love. Very proud of their food (as they should be) and well worth the visit!

This restaurant is owned by a family who raises goats. While having your meal here, you can view their video of their goat ranch and all the awards they have won. We had the shawarma and it was very good. We also had the stuffed arepas and we were served a delicious spicy salsa to accompany it. Delicious! We liked this restaurant so much we ate our lunch there and returned for dinner!
