Johnson's Bbq Shack - Bargersville

Normally love this place. Past sandwich was full of bones sweet corn casserole was more of a goop. Wont be returning sadly because the staff is wonderful.

The staff and service were great. The place was clean with a nice casual atmosphere. The brisket and pulled pork were flavorful and moist enough to not need sauce. I'm not a BBQ connoisseur, so that's all I can say about those. The chicken, however, was terribly dry and flavorless. I had to drench it in sauce to make it edible. The cornbread seems overdone, but maybe that's their style. The beans were pretty run-of-the-mill,bland, and just unenjoyable. I've had plenty of canned beans better than that. Disappointed that they were out of mac and cheese.Overall, decent but not great. I may give them another shot. Based on the reviews, they just seem inconsistent. It's like they have no routine to how they cook their food, and they're just guessing every time they do it.

Took a gamble here and ate. Food came out super fast, and everything was tasty. We did the three meat meal brisket, chicken, and pulled pork were all very tender and delicious. My only complaint is that the meat wasn't hot, but sort of warm. Papaw's Sweet sauce was so good we bought a bottle to take home. It'd definitely recommend giving this place a try.

The slab of ribs are OUTSTANDING!!! Fall-off-the-bone, tender, moist, and meaty. Coleslaw is the best ever, too! You don't need the bread with any of their sandwiches it takes away from whatever meat is in the sandwich. If you DO get a breaded sandwich, you'll end up taking it off, no kidding!

Great BBQ at a reasonable price. The staff is always friendly, and willing to make great suggestions if you don't know exactly what you want.
