Przekaż informację zwrotnąLovely spot right by the beach, nice atmosphere. They specialise in seafood especially oysters and barramundi, but have other non pescatorial offerings too. We had charcuterie board and bruschetta. Both nice with good flavours. The service was a bit slow to start I really appreciate being asked for drinks to start while looking at the menu. Anyway we eventually got going with a nice young bloke who looked after us. We both had barramundi for main, battered and baked. Both very nice, the batter not too thick or oily. The place is pricey but the fish is wild caught and very fresh, plus they had a ub lic holiday surcharge which I am always happy to pay. All up a very nice dinner. Would I...read more
New Years Day, and there are hundreds of people out and about, enjoying the sunshine perfect weather. Despite the obvious opportunity to cash in on the crowds, none of the beachside cafés and restaurants are open except for Kacys. The reviews on Zomato made me nervous; and the sign on the door advising of a whopping 15% public holiday surcharge made my eye twitch, but without alternatives we sat down to order. I ordered a warm chicken salad, my partner had the chicken carbonara and our children had fish burgers and chips. The restaurant was busy, and the orders took a little longer than expected to arrive but the waitress was apologetic and attentive, giving us an update on the...read more
Have lived in area for over 8 years, was told that Kacy's only really for tourists when we first arrived. Have given them 4 separate occasions to redeem themselves, but absolutely terrible each time. If you would like a special evening go to Indulge or Catalonia, there is no sense of personal service and while entrees and basic salads are ok, mains are ordinary! When asked and offered feedback, you don't have any recompense for it. To add insult to bad experience, Kacy's credit card machine wasn't working, ie with PIN numbers, and I was rudely told I had to give another card as I hadn't signed my c/card. .....who signs credit cards these days? Train professional staff and try to encourage...read more
We really enjoyed our evening here. Yes, the service was a bit amateur but it was friendly and earnest what more would anyone expect in a small seaside holiday town? Our meals were delicious beginning with local scallops beautifully prepared. The seafood chowder was particularly tasty with plenty of seafood. We were mindful of our budget when choosing from the extraordinary wine list but really the sky could have been the limit with a good selection of Grange's and Jim Barry's Armagh!
Never Again. We have been to Kaceys about 5 times in the last 18 months and last night was the LAST TIME!!!!!!!!! We own a motel in the area and will never recommend guests to go there. The menu is over the top price wise and the food is awful. Last night we took our daughter there, the entrees were ok but so expensive. Now to the mains, my husbands fillet steak was as thick as a schnitzel and came on a blob of mash, not a bit of green in sight. My daughters seafood Thai Curry was ok but I was told by the waitress half an hour after we ordered that the Wild Barramundi that I wanted was not going to be served because the chef was not happy with it. (either he had dropped it on the floor or...read more
