Old Talbott Tavern - Bardstown

We had a great dinner! I had a Bourbon flight with 5 choices I had never tried before. Four were great. 1 was okay. but that's why they try it right? I'm sorry I left my phone in the car or I added pictures. our server was perfect. the building was rich in history and stratified. they even delivered a 4-5 page printed story about the building and the area. it was an unforgettable evening!

From a short trip to louisville on the way to home. that was delicious. we had cheese biscuits and cheeses for apps. both were good. tocuits are small. for dinner we had fried chicken, hot brown and bourbon mango black. the black was the star of all our meal times. the fried chicken was vey good. hot brown was ok. had better, but also worse. we had dessert the Tavern Pie. it was good. a very nice experience with good eating.

I was at lunch. eating was amazing. I had the bbq meatballs for an appetizer and the Wels sandwich and both were so good. I'll eat here in a definitive way. the price was great for the amount of food they get.

Sa in the bar and checked the drinking and dining room options. extensive Bourbon selection. not so extensive restaurants. about 10 fried appetizers and about 12 sandwich or salad options. different.

We had lunch here and the food was excellent. We had the catfish and chef salad. The bourbon cheese appetizer was good, but it is more of a spread than a dipping cheese. The gift shop was cute, and the bar seemed to be the place to be, lots of noise coming from there! Worth a stop when in town. Service was friendly and quick.
